Carpe Diem #1821 Ryozenji (the first temple)
Vulture’s Peek is said to be the second holiest place in Buddhism. The budda use to sit below the mountain peek at the entrance of a cavern in retreat and teaching and in meditation. The peek is. also inhabited by many vultures. At one time a small temple stood there.

white sands
still hot on my bare feet
as the sun sets
amidst broken sand dollars
tears flow for you

ahead of the winter storm
haunting cries echo
rippling the ponds surface
splashes and honks sing of spring
ahead of the child
the wild goose flees
honking wildly
laughter and squeal fill the air
as mother scoops up her child
