Poem style – Shadorma
light shadows
peek through the maple
glistening
water drops
tremble gently on new leaves
cascading rainbow
Shadorma (3/5/3/3/7/5
late at night
sleep is elusive
I have tried
to count sheep
but after driving miles
not one could I find
in the dark
wandering the house
I have drank
warm sweet milk
two cups of valerian tea
but sleep eludes me
reading books
does not seem to help
my thoughts race
my head nods
I loose my place yet again
but am quiet awake
sleep, oh sleep
my quest not fulfilled
why are you
shy tonight
I wait for you my lost friend
alone in the dark
