words sprawled in a notebook
yellow and fade

hope in ashes
fragments of dust cling
to the edge of dreams

Renga with Jane

morning downpour
raised to new heights
afternoon clouds

admiring new signs
of life and blossoms

desert sounds
out of the sun’s way
clouds moving

jaunt in open car
creating our own breeze

beach tent billows
in the summer blue
white clouds

tumbling out we race
into the foaming surf

dancing lights
clouds sprinkle the sun
across water

we wander the shore
searching for new diversion

clouds
colored by open wall
a driftwood lair

exploring the catch
we drag our treasures homeward

curving with the land
a rainbow of clouds
moves out to seaa

evening settles upon us
with a cool shower

I put it on the fan.
